We pray this newsletter finds you well and filled with joy as we reflect on the blessings and progress we’ve seen over the past year here in Butaleja. Together, through your prayers and support, we have witnessed God’s transformative power in the lives of many.
2025 Highlights: Celebrating God’s Work

21 Kids Graduated from Kindergarten: We started this school year with 110 children registered in both Pre-K & Kindergarten. By the end of the school year, we had 80 children who finished Pre-K and 21 children graduate from Kindergarten. Parents are required to pay a small fee to register their children at the school, but, if unable to do so, they have the option to work 20 hours in our garden to help with the food for the school. We had 9 children drop out of school this year due to parents' lack of desire to pay or work for their tuition. We also offer scholarships to students who can show their need (whether they live with a grandparent/parent who is unable to pay or work for their fees).
Pray with us: we hope to open up 2 more grades in February of 2025: Preschool & 1st Grade.
Testimony from an Ex-Witch Doctor: Mr. Mugoya Yekonani
Mr. Mugoya Yekonani was the chief priest of the 'Abagmawenge', a clan among the Banyole tribe that is culturally known for alcohol brewing and spiritually responsible for 'rain'. As the chief priest, he was responsible for proclaiming priestly prayers, blessings, curses and offering spiritual direction. True to his clan values, he was a renown village drunkard, hurting his health and his family in the process. When New Life Church (the church plant started by N'Jani) first launched in Butaleja with door to door evangelism, his home was visited and after witnessing a deliverance prayer over his daughter-in-law, he promised to visit the church. He visited New Life Church and the Lord met him there; Mugoya gave his life to Jesus Christ and he has since become a member and a leader in the church, leaving behind his life of witchcraft.

Church Leadership Training: We had the founder and pastor of our parent church (New Life Church Kireka), Pastor Peter Mugabi, come and provide a one day church leadership training to our key leaders at New Life Church Budusu (our Church in Butaleja). There were 20 leaders present for the training.
Our community outreach Christmas party. Children's Christmas Party: We handed out food baskets to 20 needy families from within the community and we had a Christmas outreach party for children from within the community. There were around 100 children present for this event.
This is our pastor's parsonage so far. We're praying for God's provision of $3,000 to bring it to completion. We have started building our church Parsonage: We are in the process of building our church parsonage that will serve as a place for our lead pastor and his wife to live onsite at the church. We are currently renting a space for him within the community, but our prayer is that we can provide a place for him on the church property.
Pray with us: we need $3,000 to complete this house before we can have a safe place for our pastor to stay with his wife.
Your Support
None of this would be possible without the partnership and generosity of people like you. Your prayers, time, and financial gifts help us reach further and serve better, spreading the love and hope of Christ to those who need it most.
How You Can Help: Join Us in Making a Lasting Impact
God has begun such a great work here in Butaleja, but there’s still much work to do. We invite you to continue partnering with us as we move forward in faith. Here’s how you can get involved:
Invest Today: We need people who can partner with us financially and invest in long term, sustainable growth for Butaleja. Just $10/month can feed one child at school everyday.
Pray with Us: We value your prayers. Please join us in lifting up the children in this community; that God would continue to provide opportunities for them to know and love Him more.
Come to Uganda: Come and meet the people of Butaleja for yourself and hear their hearts. Come and serve your brothers and sisters across the globe.
Spread the Word: Share our ministry with your friends, family, and church community. Sometimes, the greatest impact comes when someone hears about our mission for the first time.
Financial Transparency & Accountability
As always, we believe in complete transparency when it comes to how donations are used. We want you to know that your investment is making an eternal difference, so please feel free to reach out with any questions or requests for information.
Thank You for Being Part of Our Journey
We are incredibly grateful for your ongoing support. You are a vital part of all that we do, and we praise God for you! Please continue to pray for us, as we believe the best is yet to come.
In Him, for Him & through Him,
Arthur & Becca Kiwala
